Piece is well made; and in good condition; however, it is preowned, and has surface scratches and dings from use or wear...marked STERLING.
Piece is beautifully decorated made of solid sterling silver.  Piece is in the form of a figural acorn.  It is wonderfully decorated with a fancy etched scrolling design.  The bottom has a pin cushion with fabric.  The lid opens and closes well to reveal a place for a thimble.  There is a ring on top of the lid in case one wants to hang it from a chatelaine or such...
