SIMANCO 54503 Presser Bar Lifter / Lever for Singer 127 & 128 Sewing Machines

My husband and I have owned and restored over 1000 vintage Singer sewing machines, and along the way we have accumulated a stock of vintage Singer parts. The parts aren’t doing anyone any good sitting in our workshop, so we have decided to send them on to where they’re needed.
This lever lifts the presser foot on Singer Models 127 and 128. These things are well-made and would probably never wear out, but we have seen a few that were damaged in a fall and many with ugly pitted or flaky chrome. Replacing an ugly presser bar lever is a bit of work but it’s an excellent way to improve the appearance of your machine.
Important Note:
A Singer 127 is an improved version of the earlier 27, and a Singer 128 is an improved version of a 28. Some parts fit both the original and the improved version but some do not, and this is one of them. This lever will only work on Singer 127 and 128 machines.
If you have good eyes you may be able to make out “SIMANCO” in photo three. That stands for “SInger MANufacturing COmpany,” and these are genuine vintage Singer parts. They are in good condition, have been cleaned, and are ready to install.
