Here  are very, very old SCISSORS that I got in France a very long time ago,  and by looking at its ornate style with the grape, vine leaves and  ribbons, I would say it is typical of our 1900-1920's items (I am  French). It could even be older than 1900, but I am not sure about that,  so, I will safely stick with the 1900-1920 period.
Nothing  is written about the silver on the handles, but it really looks a lot  like the typical Sterling silver. It is easy to clean with a silver  polish.
The ornate part is amazing and so finely made! (See detailed photos)
As  you can see on the photos, one handle is slightly warped, so the  scissors can't close perfectly, or when they are closed, one handle goes  slightly on the other one. It is very probably repairable, but these  scissors can still be used as is, since it is still possible to cut with  them. Maybe the blade will need to be sharpened, they are so old.
The  blades are not in silver like the handles it seems, and are rather  tarnished. I don't know what it their kind of metal exactly.
The scissors box shown on the two last photos
is not included in this sale
, because it is not the box which goes with these scissors.
Size of the Scissors
: 6" total length, 2 1/8" wide, about 1/8" thick.
Condition
: This  is a very old item, the blades are tarnished, one of the handles is not  perfectly in place, slightly warped just at the junction with the  blades (see photos), so when we close the scissors well, one handle  slightly goes on the other, or the handles are perfectly aligned if the  blades are not completely closed. The silver is still in great  condition. The scissors can be used as they are, no repair necessary  unless you wish so.
