Description
NAMED VINTAGE 1940s-WORLD WAR 2 LADIES RIED CROSS NURSING UNIFORM DRESS WITH CALVARY YELLOW EPAULETSNamed to "Ward" on the inside collar.
This is a very good example of Red Cross World War 2 Staff/Nursing Uniform Dress with Calvary Yellow Epaulets.
MATERIAL
This WWII (World War Two) uniform in Commando Blue Poplin has all of its original buttons in place and its o
riginal belt is included. The belt is
1 1/4 inches
wide made of matching cloth with two matching buttons.

Fiber/Care: Poplin/cotton, washable (buttons can be easily removable for ease of washing and pressing). Likewise the epaulets are also removeable. Nine inch zipper on left hip, it works fine.
One pocket on left breast.
MEASUREMENTS
The label states a size 16. Measurements follow below.
Measurements are taken with with the garment laid out flat. All measurements are approximate.
Arm pit to arm pit: 18 inches (Chest 36 inches)
Waist: 14 inches (waist 28 inches)
Top of front shoulder to bottom front hem: 45 inches
Top back collar to bottom back hem: 48 inches
CONDITION
Condition: Very Good. All buttons are are present. No fraying, rips, tears, or holes.
There are several small areas of light brown discoloration. One on the right side about knee height of a about one inch and several on them right rear of the dress at the hem line of about 1 1/2 inch and 1/2 inch respectively. These may come out with stain treating and laundering, I will leave that to the new owner.
This dress looks like it was worn very little.

INSIGNIA
Red Cross ARC pin (pin back) is present on the left collar. A 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 square white patch with the red cross embroidered on it is present on the left breast pocket. Red chevrons on the bottom of left sleeve. Epaulets are Calvary Yellow in color, which denotes Staff Aide Service Corps.
