    This piece looks more to be Mexican than American having an eagle with a shield on its chest perched above seven stars. It's actually a little swing handle basket that is very ornate with flowers and foliage all the way around. I tried to picture all angle so you can see we believe it to be very tarnished silver but are not sure. Nonetheless it is quite beautiful. There's lots of detailed work on this piece it measures 6 inches across stands for inches tall to the top of the handle. This is an antique piece from the 1800s era.
