2 Ruth Newman Signed Small 3" Silver Bowls/Pats---Taxco?

2 Small hand made and signed Ruth Newman small plates/bowls
Not sure of age but have had them for many years
Silver, not sure of purity, but magnet does not stick to them-
These 2 have a slight curve to them and measure 2 3/4" across
I got them with a collection of Native American jewelry so I am thinking either they are that or of the Taxco origin.
I've tried to find this artist online to no avail.
