    Description

Up for auction is the 1951 "CIVIL DEFENSE SUPPLEMENT TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS FIRST AID TEXTBOOK," a 47-page booklet which devotes considerable attention to the subject of first aid for atom bomb victims.
Based largely on the experience with atomic bomb victims in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, the booklet offers advice to "first aiders" for treating (to the limited extent possible) people who survived an atomic explosion.
Thank God, it hasn't been necessary to put into action the booklet's instructions -- not yet.
The booklet measures 5 1/4 inches by 7 3/4 inches.
This chilling Cold War first aid supplemental booklet will be shipped within ONE DAY of cleared payment. Thanks for viewing.
