1870s-90s Singer Sewing Machine Cabinet Hinge & Original Installation Hardware

My husband and I have owned and restored over 1000 antique and vintage Singer sewing machines, and along the way we have accumulated a stock of old Singer parts. The parts aren’t doing anyone any good sitting in our workshop, so we have decided to send them on to where they’re needed.
Singer has changed the shape and style of their sewing machine cabinets many times since the founding of the company in 1851. The very first cabinets weren’t really “cabinets” at all as we know them; more like tables that the machine sat on with maybe one drawer hung underneath. But by the 1880s they looked more like modern sewing machine cabinets with one or maybe two drawers on each side, and with a folding wooden “extension” supported by a hinged iron bracket on the left side.
This hinge dates from that period. It came to us with a cabinet that had an 1879 patent date, and Singer used hinges like this one for about 20 years from the late 1870s until the 1890s. The hinges were mounted below both the cabinet and the short wooden extension, and they allowed the extension to drop down when not in use. Each cabinet originally had three of these things, but maybe some of them broke or were removed for use elsewhere because we have seen many cabinets from that era that were missing a hinge or two.
The hinge measures about two-and-eleven-sixteenths inches in length and is about one-and-three-sixteenths inches wide. It is in good condition, has been cleaned and lightly oiled, and works perfectly. It comes complete with its five original installation screws as shown in the photos.
